Union City, Indiana, is uniquely located on the Indiana-Ohio state line. For many years and through much effort, Union City has sought ways to revitalize its downtown and to preserve the architectural heritage. In 2008, Union City successfully secured funds to develop a Downtown Revitalization Plan that would address urban design, economic development, and infrastructure issues and that would be the basis upon which to apply for additional grants for implementation.
