In early 2012, RATIO announced a strategic alliance with Chicago-based architecture firm SMDP, LLC (www.smdpstudio.com). SMDP is a Chicago-based design practice with a large portfolio of high-rise, mixed-use, corporate and civic projects in China, Korea and the United States. This partnership simultaneously achieved two key RATIO corporate goals: expanding into the international arena and establishing a Chicago presence.

The strategic partnership is focused on delivering contextual design for the benefit of clients and communities in the United States, China and Korea. The alignment of people, processes and design philosophy will improve the way others learn, gather in community and work, play and experience culture.
